Pilates

Pilates is a method of strengthening which focuses on core and stabilising muscles, so that power muscles can then be added on to a more stable muscular base. A series of mat based exercises aims to stregthen the lower back, tummy, hips, and spine. This can correct alignment, alleviate spinal pain and reduce injury.
All our classes are mat based and are taught by one of our Physiotherapists who have all chosen to undertake post-graduate training in Pilates following their Physiotherapy degrees. This means that they are in an exceptionally good position to teach. There are very few physiotherapy Clinics who offer this, and we are proud to have a large studio, with many classes every day.
This means that if you have a specific weakness, or goal, or maybe just aren't a gym fan, you will be shown the exact modification of each exercise to suit your need. Maybe you have been to physio elsewhere and they have advised you do Pilates, but can't offer it themselves.
So, whether you are trying to reduce your Triathlon time, or recovering from spinal surgery, you have come to the right place!
With only 10 people in each class, technique is constantly analysed and exercises progressed as ability changes. For that reason, all classes are for all levels as it is simply tailored to whoever's in the class on that particular day.
Some people do three classes a week with us, and some once every month. We have a completely flexible booking system to accommodate your specific needs.
People travel all across London to attend classes at Camden Physiotherapy Clinic. We work hard to keep our group class prices down, to allow good access for all the community.
All classes are £10 for one hour.
EARLY-BIRD CLASSES start in May! Wednesdays at 8-8.45am. Please register your interest at reception.
We do not run machine based classes at the clinic.
